It was built in 1959 by the mayor of the time Achille Lauro who donated it to the city. This majestic fountain could also be defined in some way the fountain most loved by the Neapolitan spouses. The water here, in fact, has not gushed for some time and despite being a very ancient architectural complex seems to be abandoned to itself. Turned into a reference point for youthful aggregation during the hours dedicated to nightlife, this fountain now with great regret goes unnoticed by a distracted audience.

After wandering around the city, it seems to have finally found its precise and above all truly remarkable location, behind Palazzo San Giacomo and a stone’s throw from the Maschio Angioino.
