According to the Neapolitan legends narrated by the writer Matilde Serao, the Neapolitan fountains would have arisen from the tears of the men and women of this city.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wherever you look at it, Naples offers us a vastness of fountains.<\/span> Below you will find the most famous and some of the curiosities related to them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fountain of the Artichoke<\/span><\/h2>\n

The artichoke fountain, named after the floral composition from which it is composed, which recalls this vegetable, is practically a stone’s throw from the Gran Caff\u00e8 Gambrinus, in piazza Trieste e Trento. It was built in 1959 by the mayor of the time Achille Lauro who donated it to the city. This majestic fountain could also be defined in some way the fountain most loved by the Neapolitan spouses. Many wedding photo shoots are made in this square and the shots are inevitable where the scenary reveals itself this wonderful fountain.<\/p>\n

Fountain of the Giant<\/h2>\n

Its construction dates back to the VXII century by Bernini and Michelangelo Naccherino. This fountain is located in the wonderful Via Partenope where the scenery tells the whole magnificence of the city of Naples.<\/p>\n

Belvedere Fountain Capodimonte<\/h2>\n

Its construction dates back to 1885. Located inside the wonderful park of Capodimonte, the Belvedere fountain as well as being a very impressive architectural complex has from its home some marine species such as rare fish and turtles.<\/p>\n

Fountain of Monteoliveto<\/h2>\n

Located in the heart of the historical center of the city, more than a fountain resembles a mausoleum. The water here, in fact, has not gushed for some time and despite being a very ancient architectural complex seems to be abandoned to itself. Turned into a reference point for youthful aggregation during the hours dedicated to nightlife, this fountain now with great regret goes unnoticed by a distracted audience.<\/p>\n
