Vomero: San Martino

It is one of the most popular points of the city especially for the youngest, is located in the Vomero district and is the famous Belvedere of San Martino. From this specific point it is possible to see the city in all its magnificence. By day San Martino is full of tourists because here is the Certosa di San Martino and the Museum, in the evening instead this place especially during the summer always hosts many young people who make this one of the most popular meeting places of the city.

Hermitage of the Camaldoli

This is one of the most famous areas for those who love peace and quiet, for those who want to escape at least for a few hours from the chaos of the city, we are talking about the Hermitage of Camaldoli. This is definitely the highest area of Naples where you can admire the city and not only Vesuvius, promenade and historic center but also the Sorrento peninsula and Capo Posillipo, the three islands of the gulf (Ischia, Procida and Capri), the hill of Vomero and the districts of Fuorigrotta, Soccavo, Agnano, Pozzuoli and Campi Flegrei.

Santa Lucia

It is certainly one of the most loved by the Neapolitans and tourists is the area of Santa Lucia, where you can admire the sea at the foot of Vesuvius, a perfect postcard of the city that you can enjoy in a long walk that then leads up at the seafront of Mergellina.

The 13 descents of Sant ‘Antonio

A small church, a panoramic terrace, 13 descents that lead into the lower part of the city, these are the three main elements that characterize the belvedere of the 13 descents of St. Anthony, a very expensive place especially for the Neapolitans where you can admire a scenery spectacular.

Marechiaro

Another strategic point to observe the city in all its charm is definitely Marechiaro, a seaside village in the heart of the Posillipo district. Famous is the “Fenestrella”, a small window decorated with a fresh carnation on the windowsill and next to it a commemorative plaque of white marble with the score of the famous song and its author, the poet Salvatore Di Giacomo, engraved on it.
