The Gambrinus Christmas tree 2019 is dedicated to Carosone!

An evening tinged with magic, that of December 15, 2019, in which a crowd of Neapolitans and tourists attended the traditional lighting of the Gambrinus Christmas tree, this year dedicated to one of the most loved symbols of the city: Renato Carosone.

Present at the event, in addition to the owners of the coffee, also the politician and environmentalist Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio and the musician Luca Rossi, who delighted the crowd with a performance at the tammorra.

A musical tree in neapolitan style

In short, a musical theme that of this year, conceived by the speaker of “La radiazza” Gianni Simioli and that it will be possible to admire on the outside of the historic premises of the Gran Caffè Gambrinus for the whole Christmas period.

Camels and thematic decorations based on pastilles, maruzzelle and bullfighters, obviously recalling all the most famous songs of the famous Neapolitan artist, decorated in an original way the large structure in the center of which Carosone was depicted and at the top of which was placed a bright treble clef.

“It is the first big event dedicated to Renato Carosone – said Simioli to the microphones of” The morning “- which was born on January 3, 1920 and, therefore, the 100th anniversary of his birth will be celebrated shortly. I hope that these private initiatives but open to the city they can follow those of the institutions for this great Neapolitan artist in the hearts of all “.

At the end of the event, a mega celebratory cake studded with cream puffs was served, always rigorously in the shape of a Christmas tree, framed with a coffee in a surprising extra large format mocha.

The special stylized balls were created ad hoc by the art work Mario Pelliccia while the sponsors of the entire initiative were: Gt Officine del Computer, Il Brigante dei Sapori, Gargano Group, Conte Baby Store, with the collaboration of Radio Marte and Peppe Accardo .
